YOU ARE A PERSONAL BRAND WHETHER YOU KNOW IT NOT

Social media has put some gasoline on the personal brand. Ever notice how people generally only post their highlights? Everyone is telling a story that is well thought out and gives a certain impression. That's the essence of brand building. Telling your story!!


What is your brand saying?


It's no secret the personal brand is 🔥🔥🔥 right now and it's not just for reality stars and influencers. It's for YOU, if you're an entrepreneur. I know we don't all want to be in front of the camera but this is not the time to be in our feelings. As an entrepreneur we're not using social media the same way as an influencer; no one really cares what we did all day unless it's something that will add value to them.


We are using social media to:

✅ Get attention. Social media is your store front. People need to see that you're open for business when they walk through the streets of the internet

✅Share our message. Who are we and what are we about? We want our target audience to understand our mission and to see if it's something they can get on board with.

✅Warm up the sales process. Statistics show that people don't make a purchase on the first encounter with a new brand. They have to see that brand at least 7 times. (This is why we get hit over the head with commercials - it's to breed familiarity and trust)

✅Positioning ourselves in the market. We get to show why we are different. Social media allows up to step out of the line from all other businesses that do what we do.

✅We get to offer our service without being in the customer's face or reading through a sale's script over the phone.


If this isn't enough evidence that you need to be making the most of your social media to build your personal brand --Here's another reason why you need to invest time into telling the story of your startup/business?


People love to see people and not company names/logos/merchandise. If you look carefully you'll notice that even large corporates are putting employees in their media posts and not models. The "realness" factor is important (even though technically most of social media isn't real but rather a well crafted story) --Again, it's building a brand.


It's a great time to tell your story, YOUR WAY. That's it!

Some people will love it, others will hate it, but at the end of the day their attention allows you to share your message. Thick skin required and positive vibes mandated.
