The First Strategy In Your Service Based Business

It's simple (but so are the best strategies). Drum roll please ...



... Be client #1 of your business.


The first person to trust you with their business is YOU! I can hear you already...but you need the money. I hear you. This is the fastest route to the money!


Bring about results that get you known in your space.


Showcase the transformation you are selling. Gain visibility without becoming a talking head. Absolutely nothing wrong with talking heads but I know from experience -- it's an uphill battle to get people to buy something they can't see. Let your audience SEE and want what you have going on. As a new business, the biggest objection from potential clients will naturally be: How do I know you can do what you say you can do?


When you don't have a portfolio of past clients to put on display, the next best thing is showing what you did for yourself. Not only can you empathise with the needs and frustrations of the client, you have lived them. Can you say CONNECTION?


When you use the words "I understand... " it's real. 🎯


That Before and After shot is the quickest way to establish authority in your narrow niche. You now have a story to tell as a new business and the evidence to show your target audience you're not just another person claiming to do things they haven't done.


Story sells.

Create a category of ONE business


Let's cut to the chase, whatever business you enter, there are numerous other providers of the same service. There literally is nothing new under the sun. The Word doesn't lie!

    there is nothing new under the sun."


That leaves us with the awesome challenge of showing how we do the same things differently. The all-important Unique Selling Position (USP)!


We have to be able to DIFFERENTIATE ourselves in the marketplace. The best way to do this is to study every process and see how to be 1. unique and 2. better than the rest.


Granted you have done this work in creating your irresistible offer, but you have done it theoretically. How many people know theory and practice are TWO radically different games?




Becoming a client of your business allows you to experience your ideas. Perhaps you thought a welcome email was a great idea, but then you realize who needs more email, perhaps a quick 45-second video introduction is more personable. You're getting what the client feels. This is an opportunity to:


⚡️Refine your framework.

⚡️Innovate your processes.

⚡️Align with the client voice.

⚡️Understand their obstacles in implementation.


Get in your client's feels.❤️


ASK: How can I make this easier, faster, more impactful/thoughtful, and memorable?

What does your customer's journey look like? How can you get them to be so delighted with your service that they tell other people about it?


We want people to become part of our 'volunteer marketing team' and tell other people about what we do.


FYI. Despite all the technologies that are used for marketing today. Word of mouth remains the most powerful!


It's a no-brainer. People trust their circle of family and friends more than their favourite YouTube influencer. Naturally.


As a new business, growing organically by using all the advantages we have over large companies to win over the hearts and minds of our clients is a MUST.

Leave it all on the field!


Use all your abilities to create a phenomenal business that serves people with the highest standards of excellence.
