What if it is true that our success is limited only by the scale of our ambitions? Could you live knowing that the potential you have was waiting for you to activate it in thought? And you didn't even do that?! It's tragic.
"The future is not ahead of you, it's trapped inside you." ~ Myles Munroe
It's human nature to put all the control on something we can't do anything about. We wonder if our circumstances had been different, then maybe this or that. We ignore the things we can control. Our goals. Rising to the level of our ambition. Refusing to back down when things get hard. Taking that road less travelled because it's such a difficult road. Understanding that difficult doesn't mean impossible.
Our days are numbered. The Psalmist in the Bible reminds us not to take our life for granted. "Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom." Psalm 90: 12
There are things we must do as Faith-Driven Entrepreneurs. Where is the faith if it doesn't require us to take leaps of trust in the Lord? That although in our humanity we cannot do it, nothing is impossible with God. (Matthew 19 : 26) We can do ALL things if God strengthens us Philippians 4 : 13
We could use our brief lives for just about anything. We do set goals and accomplish them, but some goals will require more. Noble goals. More excellent goals. Things that are worthy of thought and praise. The kind of things we are encouraged to think about.
Uber successful business strategist, Jay Abraham said it well, "Is the goal worthy of you?"
Perhaps we could dance with fear and excitement for a worthy goal.
YES! It's scary to think about. Gosh, to even say it may make you look foolish. After all, you and I couldn't possibly accomplish that, right?
BUT GOD....
Through Him ALL things are possible.
We don't need all the pieces to the puzzle. Just the next right move. That's all!
Moses wasn't told the whole game plan by God when he went to rescue the Israelites from slavery. Otherwise, he would have asked about the day of completion of his task. He knew what he had to do that day and he did it. Daily he had to TRUST & OBEY.
Perhaps meditate on 2 Timothy 1 : 7:
"For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control]."
At the height of the pandemic, I attended the virtual 10X Challenge and walked away inspired to take action. The title of the presentation was "Big Think: Big Goals":
The no.1 reason people fail at their goals
Their goals are so small that they won't significantly change their life and so they’re not willing to run through walls for them. Why would you if the outcome is not that different from where you are right now?
May your goals be so BIG and alive in your mind that you leap out of bed in the morning asking God to give you the strength to do ALL things.
P.S. To join a group of like-minded entrepreneurs
