FIND YOUR NICHE

The riches are in the niches! I know (because I did this too), as new entrepreneurs we resist this obvious fact. We're absolutely obsessed with our product and are 1000% convinced that everyone will love it just as much as we do. The reality is, absolutely nothing is for everyone. Not everyone loves Beyonce. Not everyone wears Nike. Not everyone watches Keeping Up With The Kardashians. It doesn't matter how good something is, it just won't be everyone's cup of tea. And we're just talking about major brands with international coverage and huge marketing budgets. Still, they can't convince everyone to buy their product.

This isn't discouraging at all, in fact, it should make us excited and relieved. We only need to hyperfocus on the people who will say YES to our product, our message, our way of doing things, and our values. OUR TRIBE.

As entrepreneurs, we could all do a whole bunch of things, and perhaps along the journey we will, but at the beginning it's good to focus on: where do you provide the greatest value in the marketplace? Where will you get the highest return on your investment of time, skill, and experience? Who will value what you have to offer the most? Then create an offering that will speak directly to the people in that niche.
