"As a man thinketh, so he is."
It’s habitual practice for high achievers to say affirmations, as reminders of who they are and to focus their minds on their unlimited ability. They quiet the noise of the world and focus on reprogramming themselves. Proverbs 23: 7 begins, “For as he thinketh in his heart so he is…” Is it any wonder the book, Think and grow rich by Napoleon Hill, written in 1973 remains on the top lists of books about how to become a success? His thesis is in line with what God's word says about the power of your thoughts.
How often do we as believers remind ourselves of who we are? What practice are we using to align our minds to the powerful Spirit in us?
Who are we? 1 Peter 2 :9 speaks about our heritage, “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” We are co-heirs with Christ. Think about that, the God who created the heavens and the earth in Genesis 1. The creator of all things. You and I are heirs to all that belongs to our Father. He has given us dominion over the earth. Luke 10 : 19 states, “Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.”
Is it any wonder the enemy would like to attack our thinking and the way we see ourselves? We are God’s people. Made in His image. A people who are charged to do greater things than Christ did on earth. Think about that. Jesus Christ left us this truth in John 14: 12 - 14, “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.”
To believe that we are anything less than winners, over-comers, and victorious is absolute deception. It is a lie!
We have to reprogram our thinking daily. Take the Word and store it in our hearts and minds. Our faith depends on it. Romans 10 : 17 is clear about the formula for faith, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” The biblical greats of Hebrews 11 accomplished all things “By faith…”
We all have something that God has set on our hearts, something that when we think about it, it just seems too big for us. When we look around we just can’t see it happening. Maybe life just seems to be beating us every which way.
Be careful, not to be deceived. God is not a liar, if he has spoken it to you, he shall bring it to pass. ( Numbers 23 :19)
The key to unlocking our destiny is in our belief. Mark 9 : 23 states, "'If you can'?" said Jesus. "Everything is possible for one who believes."
Let us start daily to transform our lives by renewing our minds in God’s Word. We are unstoppable. When God is for you, who can be against you?
